Blessed by Others

Randy and I got married later in life, so we were not blessed with children.  But we are so blessed with wonderful friends with children and we love to share our joy of cooking with them.

Today, so many people do not take the time to cook.  People have busy schedules between work and kids sports and events.  We with ease of fast food and pre-prepared food and meals, it is so easy to grab a meal and not cook. But when you cook you get to pick your ingredients, prepare it the way you like it and get the best meals.

I took joy in learning to cook from my parents and other family members.  I hope to inspire others to do the same.

Whether you have kids or your can borrow your friends, you too can help pass that joy of cooking to others.

Recipes To Try With Your Children

Egg with the Hole in the Middle

A great fun way to prepare eggs with kids. I remember making these with my Dad. I even think my Grandpa Pop Pop was there! And yes - we adults love them too!

1-2-3-4 Cake

Rich and Moist
An easy to make cake that I first learned to make as a child. The ingredients are simple but the taste is delicious.

Marshmallow Chicks

Homemade Peeps
Do you like Peeps®? Well this is a wonderful recipe to make your own “Peep-like” Marshmallow Chicks. This soft sugary treat was definitely worth the calories.
